It appears no one can watch because it's not on TV. Someone on another forum says our TV folks only want to broadcast curling events in Canada. Apparantly CBC is streaming the games live on the internet.
no they are not streaming them live...cbc sucks
Is anyone from the USA having any success watching games online??? I can't watch it on CurlTV because of broadcast restrictions... CurlTV says to go to NBCOlypics.com... to which NBCOlympics.com says to go to WCSN.com... To which when I try to watch a game on WCSN there are blackout restrictions on there too. Anyone having the same problems. Or has a solution.
USCA site says to go to CurlTV or WCSN... except both wont let Americans(or maybe just me) watch the games.
So Frustrating.... grrrrrr
WCSN did not carry any games yesterday. I watched there (from the US) on Saturday. You can also watch the games that CBC is webcasting here. http://channelsurfing.net/watch-cbc-sports.html
This worked for me yesterday for both Canadian games.
WCSN I think is broadcasting games today. You have to register which is free, then click on the schedule to see if there is a game being broadcast.
hope that helps
Wow it finally worked today... not getting the Black Out restriction notification from WCSN any more. I didn't change anything on my end, so it must have been them.
Did you see Brown's hammer shot in the 8th? Needed a light tap back in the outside of the 4 and threw it through the house to give China a steal of three.
Teams like Browns can look great and awful in the same game. They just do not play in good competition day after day after day.
K-Mart and crew are battle tested and simply the most ready to perform. giving up 3 to a weak team is unforgivable unless it' a pick
CBC has been streaming the games up until now but this is only a marginal improvement from last years Country Canada debacle. I don't know what's going on but they seem to have switched their format and now I can't watch the Canada vs. Czech Rep game. Honestly if the reason that CurlTV isn't allowed to cover the worlds is because CBC holds exclusive broadcasting rights then they should be...I don't know...broadcasting the event. Rather than seeing our team represent our country we're being treated to the normal and mundane CBC programing that we've become so used to. Evening games are bumped from both CBC and TSN for pre-post-season hockey analysis which is great if you want to hear a bunch of grown men bark back and forth rehashing the same minute details and flaws of teams that they've been talking about throughout the already rediculously long NHL season. It's a poor reflection on both the hierarchy of Canadian sport and Canadian sports broadcasting when a sport that is enjoyed by 1 million Canadians and played in countless countries around the world is refused airtime by the company that monopolizes it's broadcast rights. Well here's a thought for all of the CBC executive. If you're going to hold the rights then broadcast it. If you're not going to broadcast it, then let someone else do it. If you're going to broadcast the finals, try to do a better job...honestly we should all take a lesson from Red Green and use some duct tape to seal off Mike and Joan's mouths...the never shut up and their commentary is piss poor. If you want to keep the curling community happy, bring Vic Rauter and the TSN team in for those games...they are your employees after all.
Listen doorknob, the game was over after 6 ends and it finished early like 4:44 PM Eastern Time, it was broadcasted both on the Internet and on television on the CBC Bold channel.
Gee thanks tips! Glad to know that all I have to do is spend some of the money I normally put towards food or tuition to watch curling in my dorm room. Seems like a worthy money grab to buy into considering they have no problem broadcasting the national championships on TSN and CBC. CBC Bold eh! A new channel accessable to those who buy a box and spend monthly for the privilege of watching in HD? What are you, a channel rep? Who's the doorknob again? Once again thanks for the tip. Maybe when I'm finished paying my way through university I'll think about it artard!
But you can only get bold if you have hdtv
Wrong...you need a digital box..and all it costs is an extra 50 bucks or so It'll give you all the channels, just not in High def.
You may as well buy one now because next January when ALL TV stations will have to broadcast in Digital, you'll have to get a box anyway, or do without TV
ok i missed the game. Who won the bronze?
try this out it will fill you in on everything you need to know
