TEAM ADAMS

As we prepare for another exciting curling season, Team Adams is offering you a sponsorship proposal with a dedicated and well respected women’s curling team. With a promising season ahead for the team, a sponsorship donation would mean a long lasting commitment to promote your company at every opportunity.
Although still a young women’s team, Team Adams brings a wealth of experience to the sport of curling. Each member of the team is a Canadian Junior Champion, and the skip is a World Junior Champion. Team Adams is also blessed to have the opportunity to work with one of the top, level three coaches in the region, who is also a member of the Canadian Curling Association high performance coaching team. With his expertise and commitment, the upcoming season promises success.
Team Adams realizes that a successful team takes immense commitment. With parenthood, full time careers, and academics to juggle, major sacrifices must be made for the team; however, we believe that if you want to be better than everyone else, then you must work harder than everyone else. Team Adams is prepared to take every possible step to reaching our goal of winning the Scott Tournament of Hearts. We are committed to many hours of individual practice, team practice, travel and competition against both men’s and women’s teams. We also realize that to be a champion you must train like a champion. This includes off ice dedication including physical fitness training as well as being educated on and monitoring sports nutrition, and working heavily with a sports psychologist.
Team Adams is committed to the pursuit of excellence in curling. We define success not only in competition results, but also the quality of effort, whether it is in training or competition. With a heavy schedule of curling ahead in many high profile spiels across the Maritimes, Team Adams promises your company as much positive exposure as possible.

Team History

Team Adams formed in the spring of 2003 with Melissa Adams (McClure), Denise Nowlan, and Susie Leger. In their first season together they were runners-up at the 2004 New Brunswick Scott Tournament of Hearts Championship. The following year they were semi-finalists in the same event. Since forming they were quarter finalists at the Canada Cup East, and they have qualified in numerous high profile cash spiels in Atlantic Canada. With the addition of a new lead, Lianne Sobey, this season Team Adams looks forward to continued success. Both Lianne and Melissa have also earned membership in the La Releve athlete program. Together the team boasts 67 years of combined curling experience.

Goals

Team Adams sets high goals, but attainable goals for the upcoming season. We are committed to taking every possible step to reaching our goals of winning the New Brunswick women’s provincials, and competing at and winning the Scott Tournament of Hearts in London Ontario.
Along with the hours of individual and team practice, and dedication to sports nutrition, fitness and psychology, to accomplish these goals we will:

• Qualifiy at 3 of 4 events
• Qualify for and compete in the Canada Cup
• Qualify for the New Brunswick Scott Tournament of Hearts
• Win the New Brunswick Scott Tournament of Hearts
